As the sun dips below the horizon, let the tales of watermelon lore transport you to a realm of wonder. Mr. Switzer compells you with his captivating stories, cultivated from a lifetime of passion for this iconic summer fruit.

Don't miss this enchanting opportunity to celebrate Black Legacy Farmer's, the power of storytelling, and the unbreakable bonds forged through shared experiences. We'll cap off the evening with a truly immersive experience – planting "Uncle Vern's Watermelon" seedlings for some sensory vibes that will awaken your senses. 

Join us for an unforgettable evening at Byrd's Nest Box Farm – where memories are made, and watermelons reign supreme!

Ticket Inclusions and Pricing: The ticket fee grants entry to the event (Families can enter on one ticket) and includes one (1) autographed copy of the children's book "Puffy The Watermelon" by author Vern Switzer, as well as one (1) hour of in-person storytelling and interactive reading session with the author himself. Please note that only one copy of the book is provided per ticket, regardless of the number of attendees within a family unit. Additional copies of the book will be available for purchase on-site.

Watermelon Sales: Author Vern Switzer will have a truckload of freshly harvested watermelons available for purchase at the event. These premium watermelons are priced at $20 per melon.

Event Logistics and Amenities: The event will be held outdoors on the farm premises. Attendees are advised to bring their own blankets and/or lawn chairs, as seating will not be provided. Complimentary drinking water will be available, and light snacks are permitted to be brought by guests.

*Please be aware that this is an outdoor farm event, and appropriate attire and footwear are recommended.
